Graphical abstract

Incorporated casein molecules via amino linkage onto the surface of graphene cause the stability of the graphene via their surface carboxylic acid groups (26,27). Aspartic acid and glutamic acid residue of casein molecule are responsible for the graphene oxide reduction.

6.Synthesis of CdS/ZnO/graphene Composite with High-Efficiency Photoelectrochemical Activities under Solar Radiation   Original Research Article
Applied Surface Science, Available online 5 February 2014, Pages
Weijia Han, Long Ren, Xiang Qi, Yundan Liu, Xiaolin Wei, Zongyu Huang, Jianxin Zhong

Graphical abstract

A graphene-based ternary composite was prepared by loading ZnO and CdS nanoparticles in graphene nanosheets via a facile one-pot hydrothermal process. The as-prepared ternary CdS/ZnO/graphene composite has shown excellent photoelectrochemical activity, which indicate that it may have a great potential application in photoelectrochemical hydrogen production from water reduction under sunlight.

7.Fuzzy logic sensing of G-quadruplex DNA and its cleavage reagents based on reduced graphene oxide   Original Research Article
Biosensors and Bioelectronics, Available online 5 February 2014, Pages
Wei Tao Huang, Jian Rong Zhang, Wan Yi Xie, Yan Shi, Hong Qun Luo, Nian Bing Li

Graphical abstract

8.Use of 2-(tert-butoxy)-N-(3-carbamothioylphenyl)acetamide and graphene oxide for separation and preconcentration of Fe, Ni, Cu and Zn in different samples
