Graphical abstract

A two-dimensional multilayered configuration of few-layer MoS2 nanosheets highly dispersed on the N-doped graphene/porous C3N4 nanosheet matrix was synthesized by a facile route. The hybrid exhibited excellent lithium storage performance, which can be ascribed to the synergistic effect of between layered MoS2, NRGO and porous C3N4 nanosheets.
