Graphical abstractThe proposed simultaneous polymerization and crosslinking method was reported for the first time to offer a new strategy for the effective synthesis of the multiple components composite at molecular-level. The entire reaction process is realized in four steps: chain initiation, simultaneous polymerisation and crosslinkage, chain termination and final hydrolysis.
 | High Electrochemical Performance of LiFePO4 Cathode Material via In-Situ Microwave Exfoliated Graphene Oxide Original Research Article Electrochimica Acta, Available online 6 November 2014, Pages Feng Yu, Lili Zhang, Linfei Lai, Mingyuan Zhu, Yanchuan Guo, Lili Xia, Peirong Qi, Gang Wang, Bin Dai
Graphical abstractIn-situ microwave exfoliated graphene oxide (MEGO) was successfully to modify electrochemical performance of LiFePO4. Compared with in-situ thermally exfoliated graphene oxide (TEGO) prepared at high temperature of 800°C and a long time of 12h, MEGO was synthesized at 800W for 2min benefiting from "inert and instant heating" of microwave irradiation. The as-obtained LiFePO4/MEGO exhibited overwhelming superiorities to LiFePO4/TEGO, particularly in low polarization, high-rate performance and long cycle performance.

| Graphene-supported platinum catalyst prepared with ionomer as surfactant for anion exchange membrane fuel cells Original Research Article Journal of Power Sources, Available online 6 November 2014, Pages L. Zeng, T.S. Zhao, L. An, G. Zhao, X.H. Yan, C.Y. Jung
Graphical AbstractMultifunctional role of ionomer: In the as-synthesized Pt/AEI/rGO catalyst, anion exchange ionomer takes the role of the surfactant to stabilize the reduced graphene oxide, the chelating agent to anchor the platinum precursors, the electron-withdrawing agent to contribute electrocatalytic activity and the ion-conductive path to conduct the hydroxide ions.
