A High performance nonenzymatic electrochemical glucose sensor based on polyvinylpyrrolidone-graphene nanosheets-nickel nanoparticles-chitosan nanocomposite   Original Research Article
Talanta, Available online 2 February 2015, Pages
Zhiguang Liu, Yujing Guo, Chuan Dong

Graphical abstract

A new nanocomposite was successfully synthesized by chemical deposition of nickel nanoparticles (NiNPs) on polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) stabilized graphene nanosheets (GNs) with chitosan (CS) as the protective coating (PVP-GNs-NiNPs-CS). Combining the unique properties of PVP, GNs, NiNPs and CS, a non-enzymatic electrochemical glucose sensor was demonstrated. The method is highly simple, effective and cost efficient.
