Graphical abstract(1) The sizes of the GQDs are in the range of 2-5nm; (2) The responses of the sensor based on GQDs/α-Fe2O3 (S-15) composite to 0.01, 0.1, 1, 10, 100 and 1000ppm TMA vapor at 270°C are 1.9, 2.9, 5.5, 15.4, 293.0 and 1033.0, respectively, and the detection limit can reach 0.01ppm.
