Crumpled reduced graphene oxide conformally encapsulated hollow V2O5 nano/microsphere achieving brilliant lithium storage performance Original Research Article Nano Energy, Available online 8 April 2016, Pages Bo Yan, Xifei Li, Zhimin Bai, Yang Zhao, Lei Dong, Xiaosheng Song, Dejun Li, Craig Langford, Xueliang Sun
Graphical AbstractThe crumpled reduced graphene oxide encapsulated hollow V2O5 nano/microspheres were fabricated by one-step solvothermal treatment followed by subsequent annealing for the first time. The unique structural feature and typical formation mechanism of the designed materials were clarified based on multiple experimental results. The resulting electrode presented brilliant rate capacity, excellent cycling stability, and outstanding energy density. Most importantly, we have demonstrated that the proposed reaction system can be extended to encapsulate other materials.

| Improved activity and thermo-stability of the horse radish peroxidase with graphene quantum dots and its application in fluorometric detection of hydrogen peroxide Original Research Article Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, Available online 8 April 2016, Pages Xiaoyan Zhou, Yuanyuan Jiang, Li Zaijun, Gu Zhiguo, Wang Guangli
Graphical abstractWe reported an improved activity and thermo-stability of horse radish peroxidase (HRP) with the graphene quantum dot prepared by cutting of graphene oxide (GO-GQDs) and its application in fluorometric detection of hydrogen peroxide. The result demonstrates that the effect of graphene quantum dot on enzyme performance seriously depends on its hydrophilic groups and sheet size. The study also provides a promising approach for adjusting enzyme performance for many potential applications in biosensing, biocatalysis and enzyme engineering fields.Image 1
