Ni nanoparticles intercalated LTA-type nanozeolite (KZ) supported on reduced graphene oxide for 4-nitrophenol reduction Original Research Article International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Available online 19 May 2017, Pages Rahul Krishna, Elby Titus
Graphical abstractIn present study, we report a novel catalyst KZ-Ni/RGO nanocomposite for the reduction of environmental pollutant 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) to 4-aminophenol (4-AP). X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and elemental mapping techniques were used to evaluate the structure, composition and morphology of nanocomposite. 4-NP reduction reaction shows the high catalytic activity (30 min) of KZ-Ni/RGO nanocomposite compared to the KZ-Ni (75 min) with excellent stability up to 5 cycles.Image 1
| Facile synthesis of highly active reduced graphene oxide-CuI catalyst through a simple combustion method for photocatalytic reduction of CO2 to methanol Original Research Article Journal of Solid State Chemistry, Available online 19 May 2017, Pages Wenjun Zhang, Yingjie Li, Xiaoxiong Zhang, Cuiluo Li
Graphical abstractA facile reduced graphene oxide(rGO)/ CuI nanoparticles complexes hybrid material was prepared by a naked flame. This method can be simple and rapid preparation of composite materials which exhibit excellent catalytic performance. It is not only can improve the light absorption but also can be highly efficient reduction of CO2 to methanol in visible light. So the rGO-CuI composite will find potential applications as catalysts in organic photosynthetic reaction.

Graphical AbstractComposite catalysts consisting of Pd loaded on binary graphene/carbon black supports were synthesized by a reduction method. These materials exhibit better electrocatalytic performance than either Pd/carbon black or Pd/graphene catalysts, suggesting a new approach to binary carbon supports for noble metal-based catalysts with fuel cell applications.
