| 2. | Simultaneous Electrochemical Determination of Sulphite and Nitrite by a Gold Nanoparticle/Graphene-Chitosan Modified Electrode Original Research Article Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry, Volume 41, Issue 8, August 2013, Pages 1232-1237 Xue WANG, Hui LI, Min WU, Shu-Li GE, Yan ZHU, Qing-Jiang WANG, Ping-Gang HE, Yu-Zhi FANG
Graphical abstractA cheap and portable electrochemical sensor has been developed by combing grapheme (GR), chitosan (CS) and gold nanoparticle (AuNPs) to simultaneously determine SO32−and NO2−. The modified electrode exhibits the following characteristics: cost-effective, simple preparation, high sensitivity, stability and reproducibility.

Graphical abstractPdn(n=1∼5) clusters deposition on single vacancy graphene sheet have been studied. The calculated results suggest that point defect acts as a strong binding trap and is favorable for the dispersion of Pd nanoparticles. Upon exposure in oxygen molecule atmosphere, the existence of graphene support promotes more electrons to transfer to oxygen molecules and induces a further elongation of O-O bond.
