Graphical AbstractAmine-functionalized mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) containing poly(p- phenylenevinylene) were grafted onto the surface of graphene oxide (GO) via covalent bonds to form GO-PPV@MSN. This novel GO-PPV@MSN can provide a facile strategy to detect 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) in water through Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET). The observed linear fluorescence intensity change allows the quantitative detection of TNT with a detection limit down to 1.3×10-7M.
