1.First-principles study of nitrobenzene adsorption on graphene   Original Research Article
Applied Surface Science, Available online 25 March 2014, Pages
Zhenhong Dai, Yinchang Zhao

Graphical abstract

Graphene can be taken as one of chemical sensors of nitrobenzene molecules, adding a suitable EF to polar molecule-adsorbed graphene, not only the arrays of adsobates become regular but also transport properties of the adsorption system can be changed. One can get expected structures and functions by adding normal electrostatic field to systems considered.

2.The effects of graphene nanostructures on mesenchymal stem cells   Original Research Article
Biomaterials, Available online 25 March 2014, Pages
Yahfi Talukdar, Jason T. Rashkow, Gaurav Lalwani, Shruti Kanakia, Balaji Sitharaman

3.High-capacity graphene oxide/graphite/carbon nanotube composites for use in Li-ion battery anodes   Original Research Article
Carbon, Available online 24 March 2014, Pages
Jingxian Zhang, Zhengwei Xie, Wen Li, Shaoqiang Dong, Meizhen Qu

Graphical abstract

Graphene oxide is directly applied in Li-ion batteries via the composite of graphene oxide, graphite, carbon nanotubes and conductive additive (defined as GGCC) as a high capacity and binder-free anode material. The electrochemical tests show that the reversible capacity of GGCC could reach to 1172.5 mA h g-1at 0.5 C.

4.Effective improvement of photocatalytic hydrogen evolution via a facile in-situ solvothermal N-doping strategy in N-TiO2/N-graphene nanocomposite   Original Research Article
International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Available online 24 March 2014, Pages
Fuyun Pei, Shengang Xu, Wei Zuo, Zhenru Zhang, Yingliang Liu, Shaokui Cao

Graphical Abstract

5.FePt nanoalloys anchored reduced graphene oxide as high-performance electrocatalysts for formic acid and methanol oxidation   Original Research Article
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Available online 24 March 2014, Pages
Jinxue Guo, Yanfang Sun, Xiao Zhang, Lin Tang, Hongtian Liu

6.Facile fabrication of a novel anisotropic gold nanoparticle-chitosan-ionic liquid/graphene modified electrode for the determination of theophylline and caffeine   Original Research Article
Talanta, Available online 24 March 2014, Pages
Guangming Yang, Faqiong Zhao, Baizhao Zeng

Graphical abstract
