Graphical abstract

Thermo-responsive graphene oxide–perylene bisimides-containing poly (N-isopropylacrylamide) hybrid is synthesized via mild non-covalent interactions. The hybrid material possesses temperature-controllable assembly and disassembly behaviors in water; and it shows the potentials as an efficient temperature controllable adsorbent for removing methylene blue from water.
