Magneto-electronics properties of fluorine-passivated “Christmas Tree” graphene nanoribbons Original Research Article Organic Electronics, Available online 26 September 2014, Pages D. Wang, Z.H. Zhang, Z. Zhu, Z.L. Yu, B.K. Tao, S.Y. Hou, C. Ye
Graphical abstractThe calculated results show that fluorine-passivated "Christmas Tree" graphene nanoribbons (F-CTGNRs) have a ferromagnetic ground state and can be a spin metal, a spin semiconductor, a spin half-metal, or a spin gapless semiconductor, completely depending on their geometrical sizes. The perfect dual spin-filtering effect and high-performance dual spin diode effect as well as larger magnetoresistance (MR) can be found in the F-CTGNR based devices.
