Electronic and Magnetic Properties of Zigzag-Edged Hexagonal Graphene Ring Nanojunctions Original Research Article Carbon, Available online 29 July 2015, Pages D. Wang, Z. Zhang, J. Zhang, X. Deng, Z. Fan, G. Tang
Graphical abstractIt shows that all the zigzag-edged hexagonal graphene quantum rings (ZHGQRs) have evident transport gaps (semiconductor) but changing in an obvious oscillating manner with the edge width W, which can be principally attributed to the parity characteristic of wave functions for the quantum interference correction to conductance. No intrinsic magnetisms are observed in the ZHGQRs, and magnetic field can effectively suppress weak localization behaviors leading to a negative magnetoresistance for the ZHGQR, which is in good agreement with experimental findings in graphene.
