Towards wafer-size strictly monolayer graphene on copper via cyclic atmospheric chemical vapor deposition Original Research Article Carbon, Available online 20 September 2016, Pages Xiaofei Wan, Nan Zhou, Lin Gan, Huiqiao Li, Ying Ma, Tianyou Zhai
Graphical abstractWe for the first time employed cyclic atmospheric chemical vapor deposition method to synthesize strictly monolayer graphene continuous sheet on commercial copper foil by selectively removal of few layer structures (FLS). The growth mechanism is verified by methane isotopes growth and large scale Raman mapping analysis. The size of strictly monolayer graphene sheet as large as 2 cm × 2 cm can be readily achieved. Principally; it is promising to extend this simple but effective method to mass production in future.Image 1
