Graphical abstractThe size of nanofillers can significantly influence the mechanical properties of polymer composite. Size separated graphene flakes (GFs) are incorporated to observe the size effect. The incorporated GFs, exfoliated from graphene intercalation compound, show micron scale lateral size and low oxygen content (6.25%). The fabricated composites show near theoretical size effect and robust mechanical reinforcement.Image 1
