Nanosized Ag-graphene electrocomposite materials are fabricated by electrodeposing Ag capping with ethylene glycol on graphene sheet. These electrocomposite materials exhibit a strong 4-electron transfer mechanism for oxygen reduction reaction and higher efficiency for methanol oxidationcompared to the standard Pt/C. Furthermore, the versatility of this approach may open up avenues for a diverse range of catalyst and thereby applications.
