Graphical abstractA free-standing, self-binding, layered NRGO monolith was successfully fabricated by using urea as sacrificial grasper based on flame method. The obtained NRGO monolith electrode shows high specific capacitance (323.7 F g-1 at 1 A g-1, higher than RGO powder (252.1 F g-1)), ultra-high coulombic efficiency (125% at 1 A g-1) and superior cycle performance with a 9.2% improvement in specific capacitance after 50000 cycles at 30 A g-1.
