Capability of Defective Graphene-Supported Pd13 and Ag13 Particles for Mercury Adsorption   Original Research Article
Applied Surface Science, Available online 12 December 2015, Pages
Jittima Meeprasert, Anchalee Junkaew, Chompoonut Rungnim, Manaschai Kunaseth, Nawee Kungwan, Vinich Promarak, Supawadee Namuangruk

Graphical abstract

Defective graphene (DG) supported Ag13 and Pd13 nanoparticles acts as sorbents for elementary mercury (Hg0) adsorption. Hg is inert to DG surface, but it moderately adsorbs on deposited Ag13 –DG and strongly adsorbs on deposited Pd13 –DG.

Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, Available online 12 December 2015, Pages
Peifang Wang, Di Wu, Yanhui Ao, Chao Wang, Jun Hou

Graphical Abstract

A novel multi-heterojunction photocatalyst (graphene and Au co-loaded ZnO nanorod array) was prepared for the first time. The as-obtained samples showed much higher activity compared to pure ZnO NRAs, Au-ZnO NRAs and RGO-ZnO NRAs for dye degradation, which is almost 9 times higher than that of pure ZnO NRAs.

Hybrid of carbon-supported Pt nanoparticles and three dimensional graphene aerogel as high stable electrocatalyst for methanol electrooxidation   Original Research Article
Electrochimica Acta, Available online 12 December 2015, Pages
Lei Zhao, Zhen-Bo Wang, Jia-Long Li, Jing-Jia Zhang, Xu-Lei Sui, Li-Mei Zhang

Graphical abstract

Three-dimensional structured Pt/C/graphene aerogel hybrids demonstrate high stability towards methanol electrooxidation due to the unique 3D graphene structure as well as the efficient assembly between the Pt/C and graphene aerogel.

Green synthesis of graphene quantum dots and silver nanoparticles compounds with excellent surface enhanced Raman scattering performance   Original Research Article
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Available online 12 December 2015, Pages

Hydrophobic interface controlled electrochemical sensing of nitrite based on one step synthesis of polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane/ reduced graphene oxide nanocomposite   Original Research Article
Talanta, Available online 12 December 2015, Pages
Wushuang Bai, Qinglin Sheng, Jianbin Zheng

Graphical abstract

The hydrophobic interface will be formed when GO/POSS modified electrode is immersed in nitrite solution, and the thickness of double layer between modified electrode and nitrite solution will be changed which makes the electrochemical oxidation of nitrite easier.
