Graphical abstractMnOx/RGO−450 hybrid material is prepared by exchanging graphene oxide (GO) with Mn2+ ions and followed by calcining Mn2+ exchanged material (Mn2+–GO) at 450°C for 4h in N2 atmosphere. The obtained hybrid electrode exhibits a high specific capacitance of 517Fg−1 at a current density of 1Ag−1 in 1M KOH electrolyte.
