Graphical abstractA simple but efficient route based on supramolecular approach for synthesis of intercalated polyaniline graphene nanocomposite with three dimensional pillar structures is described. The porosity of the hybrid materials was further increased by selective removal of the graphene surface modifier. The nanocomposite materials shows very promising electrochemical properties with a best capacitance value of 630Fg−1 at current density 0.5A/g. The thermal stability of the coupled hybrid materials is dramatically improved and large flexible conducting film can also be fabricated easily using this strategy.
