Graphical abstractGraphene nanosheets decorated with superior carbonyl groups (C=O) was obtained via a green method in the medium of dilute H3PO4 and NaH2PO4. During this process, almost all the C=O group in graphene oxide were retained, featuring excellent pseudocapacitive performance. Under the current density of 0.5 and 1A g−1, the specific capacitance of the electrode reached 413, 374F g−1, respectively.Image 1
